Protect and enhance the natural beauty of wood with Treatex Hardwax Oil. Suitable for all types of internal joinery including floors, stairs, doors and worktops.
Available in three different sheen levels 007 Clear Matt (least shiny), 008 clear Satin or 009 (was 11002) clear Gloss (most shiny). Apply two coats with a brush or roller. For oily or dense timbers thin the first coat by mixing in 10% Treatex Thinner. Treatex Hardener can be added to Treatex Hardwax Oil Clear to increase the mechanical resistance of the finished surface. One coat of Treatex Hardwax Oil Natural or Treatex Colour Tone can be applied underneath Treatex Hardwax Oil Clear.

Product Description:   Treatex Hardwax Oil Clear protects and enhances the apprearence of all types of internal wood surfaces including floors, stairs, doors, furnature and worktops. Treatex Hardwax Oil is manufacturered on a base of natural sustainable raw materials including linseed oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, beeswax, carnauba wax and candelilla wax.

Preparation:   If the surface to be treated is rough or if a previous surface coating finish is present, sand to smooth bare wood with 80-120 grit sandpaper. Most previously oiled surfaces can be overcoated, without sanding. When overcoating a previously oiled surface a trail application is essential. Remove dust, dirt and any contaminates which may lead to uneven absorption of Treatex Hardwax Oil. Make sure the surface to be treated is thoroughly dry. Stir tin and ensure the product is at room temperature before use.

Application:   If you are treating Oily/dense timbers thin the first coat of Treatex Hardwax Oil by mixing with approximately 10% Treatex Thinner. Use a brush or Roller to evenly apply Treatex Hardwax Oil Clear.
Allow to dry – maintaining warmth and ventillation will enable the surface to dry within 3 – 6 hours. Apply with brush or roller a second coat of Treatex Hardwax Oil Clear.
Allow to dry thoroughly overnight before the surface is lightly used. The surface will reach maximum hardness after a further 24 hours.

Drying Time:   approx. 3-6 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23°C/50%, rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or high humidity can increase the drying time.
